Márton is a highly motivated and ambitious researcher and PhD candidate with strong communication and presentation skills. He began his academic journey in 2017 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, where he earned his B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications in 2021. During his undergraduate years at the Department of Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence (formerly Telecommunications and Media Informatics), he focused on Sports Analytics and completed his bachelor’s thesis on improving motion recognition accuracy for multi-camera systems in football stadiums.
He continued his studies at BME, completing his M.Sc. at the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics while maintaining close collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence. His master’s thesis, conducted in cooperation with Ericsson, explored Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) estimation in real mobile networks.During his master’s studies, Márton achieved first place at the BME Scientific Students’ Association Conference (TDK) in November 2021, which granted him the opportunity to present at the National Scientific Students’ Association Conference (OTDK) in Marosvásárhely in 2023. His paper on disaster-resilient network topology planning earned second place at the event.
He successfully defended his master’s thesis in June 2023 and subsequently began his PhD studies in September 2023 under the supervision of Alija Pasic, with the dissertation topic “Intelligent Survivable Communication Networks”. His doctoral research is being carried out in collaboration with Ericsson Hungary, where he also works part-time.
