Ferenc Mogyorósi is a part-time assistant professor at the Department of Networked Systems and Services (HIT), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), and a Machine Learning Engineer at Monodon Solutions. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in June 2025, focusing on disaster-resilient communication networks and resilient control planes for virtualized Software-Defined Networks (vSDNs). His dissertation introduced novel optimization and machine learning approaches to improve network resilience and hypervisor placement.

He has authored several peer-reviewed papers, including four Q1 publications (three as first author), and received both the ÚNKP and KDP doctoral fellowships from the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology for his research on disaster-resilient networking.

Ferenc has extensive industry experience: at Ernst & Young US, he worked on Generative and Agentic AI projects for NextEra Energy, the largest renewable energy company in the United States. At Monodon Solutions, he leads MLOps-focused AI projects across domains such as energy, sports analytics, and environmental data analysis. Previously, at Ericsson Hungary, he collaborated with the Ericsson Network Location Team, contributing to the development of 4G and 5G mobile positioning systems and researching machine learning-based positioning solutions.

Ferenc is deeply involved in teaching and student mentorship, integrating his industry experience with academic research. He has supervised numerous bachelor’s and master’s theses on network resilience, optimization, and machine learning-based mobile positioning, helping students bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and real-world applications.
