Media Communications in Smart Cities

Media content generates more than 60% of the IP traffic that will continue to increase according to forecasts. The increase is mainly forced by entertainment services, where the next breakthrough is expected from Free Viewpoint Video that offers real 3D experience to users. Moreover, media communications will play important role in smart city environment and intelligent transportation systems. Based on modern image processing solutions, visual information significantly facilitate the decision processes making the transportation more efficient and secure.
