Poster demonstration at “COST Intelligent Transport Systems: a Tool or a Toy?” Conference

Efficient traffic control and management is a fundamental and urgent challenge in our ever-growing cities. Evolving traffic light controller systems are playing an important role in these architectures by adaptively and dynamically coordinating individual traffic lights to achieve city-wide objectives of traffic operations. The integration of such systems with vehicle-to-anything (V2X) communication techniques could easily be the next step of this evolution. In this poster proposal a proof-of-concept implementation of V2X-integrated traffic light controller systems is presented.

New journal paper published about the MPT network layer multipath library in Computer Communications (Elsevier)

Multipath communication is aimed to utilize the multiple network interfaces of our contemporary IT devices for throughput aggregation and/or resilient communication. Unlike the more well-known MPTCP, the MPT multipath communication library operates at network level and builds on GRE in UDP encapsulation. For more information, please see our paper: B. Almási, G. Lencse, Sz. Szilágyi, “Investigating the Multipath Extension of the GRE in UDP Technology”, Computer Communications (Elsevier), vol. 103, no. 1, pp. 29-38, May 1, 2017, DOI: 10.1016/j.comcom.2017.02.002
